You can upload PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP images up to 5MB. Batch uploads, animated GIFs, SVG files, and PDFs are not supported. Images with a clearly visible subject and good contrast usually produce the cleanest result.
The tool does not intentionally compress or upscale your image. It returns a PNG with transparency, while the visible edge detail depends on the source image and how clearly the subject is separated from the background.
Yes. The soft-alpha model is designed to preserve fine and partially transparent edges such as hair, fur, fabric, and illustrated linework. Very low contrast, motion blur, or overlapping subjects can still require minor touch-ups.
Yes. Results are downloaded as PNG files with an alpha channel, ready to place over another color, photo, product card, or design.
Each background removal costs a fixed 100 credits. New accounts receive 100 free credits, enough to remove the background from one image. If processing fails after credits are charged, the charged credits are automatically refunded under the current refund policy.
Your image is sent to the processing service only to perform the requested background removal. Input and output images may be stored in your account processing history according to the service retention rules, so avoid uploading confidential or highly sensitive images.
